    Hi Kajal,

You need to map the attribute at context level using context model in order to make them editable.

To do so you can either use excel based context model

Or you can do via UI of Context Model Setup , available for Systemadmin role under system administration menu

Yes, i can map the attribute in context model but it is like i have to duplicate/create the same attribute again in context Model just like thing model and the mapping those attribute at channel or country level. So i just want an solution where i dont have to create the same attribute twice one in thing and other in context model.

Apart from this option, do we have any other solution just incase i can take other way.

    Thanks!

    Hi Kajal,

Yes IF you want excel approach then you need to make an entry of each attribute in attribute sheet but it dose not create duplicate attribute , its just that Mapping sheet can not process attribute until its present in attribute sheet , you need to have a row for each , other wise the attribute in system is at thing model level only and not getting again created at context.

If you do not want to do repeated task , try the Context Model Setup UI , it makes task easy as you can search for groupname of attribute and map all in one shot.

Apart from this i do not know of any other way. Hope this helps!
