Need Clarification on Packaging hierarchy

Hello All,
Whenever the packaging hierarchy concept implemented in syndigo, we follow more or less the same hierarchy like product -sku (sellable item) - tradeitem (each) -case -pallet. Please correct me if i am not correct at some point.
I have question regarding the hierarchy.
1) From the above hierarchy, sku and tradeitem of each will have similar attribute therefore can we directly link the product with tradeitem of each consider it as a SKU? I need technically and business perspective a point of Whether we can implement or not, if we cannot implement this in syndigo then why and what are the reason?
Can we implement like below provided in the screenshot.
