Knowledge based models
Hi ,
Has anyone here worked with knowledge-based models in Syndigo MDM? If you’ve had success using them, I’d love to hear about your experience and any gotchas you’ve run into along the way. Since the documentation portal isn’t very helpful right now, I’m turning to the community for some guidance.
Thanks
Harshith Kesani.

Also wondering what is the edge KB model has over the governance model. for BRs & BCs its easy to debug or see where we have gone wrong. do we have any debugging techniques available for KB model too?

Hello Harshith,
Yes, we have used the knowledge-based model in Syndigo.
Well, I think one feedback we can give is that instead of using doc portal you are better of using some example implementation from some other project to learn and implement easily. Please write me at shailesh.rana@logiklee.com so i can send you some samples, i am not able to attach it here.
About the advantage of the KB model over governance model is that it is mainly created to ease the number of lines you write for BRs which are driven by attributes listed in reference table. In traditional BRs , it required lot of coding to be written for such BR but in knowledge-based framework it's easily achieved. Knowledge based model also use lot of internal caching so it's more performant than governance model.
Thanks,
Shailesh
